2021 comes with a delightful new Chester Coffee House. Garden Social is set to be a coffee (or tea) lovers dream nestled along Catherine Street in the Garden Quarter.
What did Ümlaut do Garden Social?
Ümlaut have been working with Garden Social on their new and unique brand identity alongside various print projects. The brief was filled with quirky monster characters and cool coffee house vibes. Ümlaut came up with multiple design ideas and the owners fell in love with the aptly named Quart, a quarter guy with a coffee bean eye.
The idea behind Quart
Quart is a representation of the Garden Quarter location combined with coffee and quirky monsters. The typography for the brand is relaxed, welcoming and the perfect fit for the brands ideologies. During the design process Ümlaut came up with so many weird and wonderful concepts for the brand and really loved every single one of them!
Alongside the branding work, Ümlaut has made sure Quart has been rightly represented in the area. His posters currently cover the windows of the soon to open shop as well as the new signage and opening flyers. Most impawtantly of all Garden Social comes with a very hard working coffee shop dog, Morty.
